On 01.01 2021 the BUND (Bund für Umwelt und Naturschutz Deutschland e. V.) Gelnhausen and Main-Kinzig moved into its new office with Repair-Café in our administration building. Through an appeal for help in the newspaper, we became aware of the impending closure of the Repair Café Gelnhausen. Since the relocation of our logistics department to the new building, part of the first floor of our administration building had been largely unused.
Chairman Dr. Stephan Consemüller was immediately impressed by the space after a visit in early November. The workshop and waiting area, which were previously spread across several rooms, are now located in one large, light-flooded space. When the corona situation allows it again, electronic and mechanical household appliances, consumer electronics and many other things can be repaired at the Rapair Café every third Saturday of the month together with expert volunteers.
